Who We Are:

AIDS Alive® was formed by the family and friends of Robert M. Gillin, Jr., who died due to complications of AIDS. His passing taught his family and friends the importance of raising AIDS awareness, and that AIDS affects everyone in some way.

The founders of AIDS Alive® were inspired by Bob to continue his mission of offering emotional support for those infected by AIDS, as well as their friends and families. By organizing and coordinating multiple events, AIDS Alive® aims to:

  • Raise awareness and promote prevention, particularly among those who feel they are not impacted by HIV/AIDS
  • Raise resources to support organizations that address the psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of this disease.
